Vittorio Colao sides with creators on copyright in Europe's AI debate

Speaking in Turin, the former Vodafone chief and Italian minister said regulation does slow AI in Europe, but he defended copyright protections and the Digital Services Act, called the AI Act too complicated to implement, and named risks to jobs, human judgement, wealth concentration and cybersecurity.
